Overall the outcome of the 10 designs really flows as a
collection purely from what I have learnt throughout this project... new and
old designers not heard of before during workshop lessons, photo shop and
creative cloud that has boost my confidence with photo shop completely (always
use it now) also of where I’m wanting to sit in the outside world of new
upcoming designers and business that would influence me.. Bespoke wallpaper was
not a possibility/thought for me but having tutorials and guidance I felt like I
could contemplate that suggestion. The whole of the project has given me
insight into how this whole process works, being the preparation and dedication even the time frame given. Dedicating myself to
the specialist area that I enjoyed and letting myself grow and get
digital has reflected during the project... Final week coming to a close
now, I have felt calm during the count down to the week. I’m confident with the
collection I have produced..

Intentions Evaluation
For the LO for this assessment, I feel that I have shown experimental and risk
taking, the risk for me was the risk of photo shop and dedicating myself to use
the process of it which leads into experimental of learning new process on their
it allowed my work to vary in the designs. Consistency has been the centre of
attention also of willingness and concentration of dedicating my time purely on
the design to get the development moving forward with newer drawings and marks that
lead from my original concept. The development stages have been shown clearly
from when I started then developed and now at the end and purely from the
blogging that has shown the development clearly.

Intentions Final week
So far the final week is going smoothly (fingers crossed)
I have finally got my 10 designs after a good hour of looking at them as a collection and assistance of choosing which ones should be presented as final designs.
Overall satisfied with the designs created. Just amazed I could create Minimal/complex patterns on Photoshop. The designs do work well as collection and even the colour ways work well with the whole collection.
Seeing the designs and the colour palette (digital) I feel I have used the majority of the colours based In the palette, which the colours have helped create the complex feel to the designs as well as minimal and vice versa. Now the 10 boards are done.
The focus for the rest of the week is the 3 boards and carry on editing them. The boards need to tell my story, visual communicating is playing in my mind each time I edit them, edited them when feedback was given on what should and shouldn't be on the boards.. Process is the main board that holds me back.. "how do I show my process?" I started adding the colour palette of hand and digital to show the process of colour coming to life in the designs but what designs to show the process? The Concept & Context boards I feel are to a good standard but could tweak them a little this week.

Intentions Feedback six
It clicked. It was about my marks, not just the shapes.. so from that 'clicking' I started to create more marks using lino, inks, pen/sharpie, pencil etc.
These new marks I'm happy with and confident with them as fell they will push me further.. from the new marks I then began to focus on designs. Design after design after design.
Creating the colour palette on digital by scanning in my painted palette was easy enough to do and quicker so I could get straight into these designs. From the designs I have improved a lot more than I thought. The designs were coming together, the marks were representing themselves and I was confident showing to the group of the designs.
The colour palette was now suited and the design felt more like a collection to me.
From the feedback given I felt like they got the sense that it was coming together now but some areas they felt like I was loosing the original quality of the simple line work I involved in many of the drawings and digitals,From that comment it was more of me not loosing the content.. I need to use the whole project, which then lead onto how the designs need to be a little more complex now. Advising to go back and amend meant I could play around more with the designs!
From the feedback I was clear what the aim is:
- Create more complex designs using LINE. (thinner lines)
3 boards- concept, process, context. Draft versions of these boards. Feedback given:
- Scale down images (more important bigger to be)
- Key words to explain
- Visually communicate
- One image of company
The feedback of the draft boards I was happy about as I did struggle with them! From this feedback this should hopefully help me develop the boards more for next week.
The final stage to consider now is what will be presenting for assessment:
- Final Collection 8-10 designs (boards)
- 3 or 4 Boards ( Concept, Process, Context, Colour Board?)
- Blog posts + Blog evaluation of whole project
- Research
These new marks I'm happy with and confident with them as fell they will push me further.. from the new marks I then began to focus on designs. Design after design after design.

Intentions feedback five.
The main focus for me has to get the colour palette correct at least. Colour has not been a huge focus in my other works but now its time to think of this collection and to pull it together.
The colour board I created through images and that was fine for me as I could visually see the colour and through my older prints I did attempt the colour, but they were never correct.
I created a colour palette using gouache paints and water colours. Water colours I wanted to use to help me look at the tones involved in my board.. the water colours I felt worked successfully as it eventually started to capture the colour.
Then started to select colour palettes that could work together. I was concentrating on feedback that was given on my board last week of having the minimal colours of grey tones, green tones, blues and then some vibrant pinks and purples coming through.. so the key was to have these subtle tones and then vibrant colour/s to which they could keep the theme complex/minimal going through colours.
Digital side of colour palette I hadn't attempted yet of creating swatches.. but I had a play with changing the colours of original design just using the paint bucket tool and paint brush..
I like how they still look like original marks and then the colour brings it together, the colour has helped me realise that I don't need to focus on circular shapes of creating circles or drawing circles its the marks that are the most appealing.

From that thought I'm focusing on creating new marks now and some use of the old marks to then start to add the correct colour pallet to start off the repeat designs.
