Gray is a bold designer and in nice words whacky, developing simple shapes to which turn out to be not so simple patterns. Grays work is all about individuality and statement pieces, who influenced Gray is a famous influence of who supported her in Grays earlier days LuLu Kennedy who is part of the fashion east scheme for young designers. 'Nana Fashion' as Gray says. Grays work is contemporary being full of clashing textures but yet modern folle style. Gray is more a mixed media based designer to why I looked into more of her season designs of 'FALL 2013 RW' and 'ready to wear AW13-14' 'Loud and Proud, Feb2013' Hair pieces are plastic bags and other accessories adopted from toilet rolls (Recyclable materials) This quirky way of working with everyday materials is what made link the project with Grays work, everyday materials. Looking past grays deigns in the fashion world it was how she made these accessories link to her works, mainly hair pieces to using toilet rolls as broaches. Seeing Grays work was more about looking beyond fashion outcomes was more about her mixed media art of how she uses that in fashion and gets away with it. Liking a women whose work is influential to others in many ways anyone could research Gray and find a strong link to their work.
