What interested me in Burkes work was how it is presented and how she wants to present it and the uses of materials being such bulky, strong materials. You would of thought it was man’s work as it’s such a masculine materials for portraying strength, bond, boldness - it’s the choices of materials which also influenced my work is strong sturdy materials that I could manipulate.
