Inspired by endangered aquatic world to which leads to decay and pollution.
Fashion collaborating with laser cutting. This is the fashion, this is what
people want to see. Storytelling a meaning to the work and world. It is more
runway ready than high street but who wouldn’t want designs on a run way.
Prats influence on my work was more thinking where my work could
possibly fit in, not the basic laser cuts of tiles etc. needing a contemporary
influences, Prats work helped me realize the experimentation of materials and
laser cutting could be developed by simple shapes for patterns and body wear.
The theme in Prats work is clear as this particular design work looks like
swimsuits. The
material used in this work is called neoprene it’s like a second skin. By
looking at it through photography it does look swimsuit like but looks smart
and office like material. Prats work and mine are similar in ways as I have been thinking of laser
cuts for the body from how simple they are and to how detailed they become on
the body.
